Which banquet halls in Bangalore suit corporate events?

For corporate dinners of 200–350, central hotel ballrooms fit: Sheraton Grand Brigade Gateway and The Ritz-Carlton each list 300 banquet on their official pages. For larger seated events, Palace Grounds halls such as Nalapad Pavilion (3,200 theatre in one listing) take thousands, but with fewer hotel services. Always confirm the banquet figure, which is often under half the theatre figure.

A banquet hall for a corporate event is judged on different things from a wedding hall: a stage that does not block the bar, sound that carries to the back table, a load-in window for the LED, a bar licence for the evening, and food service that finishes before the awards begin. The capacities below come from official hotel pages where we could read them, and from venue directories otherwise — marked H (official), M (directories agree) or L (single or conflicting listing). We confirm every number with the venue for your layout before we quote.

Directory prices are often wedding-menu starting points and may be out of date; we get a written quote. Before you sign a banquet contract

  • Minimum guarantee. What is the minimum number you pay for, and how late can it change?
  • What the per-plate price covers — welcome drinks, live counters, service charge, taxes.
  • Bar. Licence, closing time, corkage or outside-liquor rules, and the cost per drink or per head.
  • Outside suppliers. Charges for décor, AV, power, generators or extra load-in hours.
  • Access. Load-in time, goods lift, ceiling height under chandeliers, and when the room is free.
  • Sound and timing. Indoor halls are exempt from the 10 pm outdoor loudspeaker restriction; lawns are not (Noise Pollution Rules summary).
  • Parking. Spaces, valet, and a coach bay for staff shuttles.
  • Cancellation and date change terms, in writing.

What is the largest banquet hall in Bangalore?
Among standalone halls, Palace Grounds venues list the biggest numbers — Nalapad Pavilion at 3,200 theatre and Princess Shrine’s indoor hall at up to 4,500 in directory listings. Among hotels, The Lalit Ashok’s Kalinga hall is listed at about 10,500–10,800 sq ft. All are listings we confirm per layout.
How many people can a Bangalore hotel ballroom seat for a corporate dinner?
Fewer than the brochure suggests. Official tables show Sheraton Grand Brigade Gateway’s Grand Ballroom at 800 theatre but 300 banquet, and The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom at 700 theatre and 300 banquet. Plan from the banquet figure, then allow for the stage.
What does a banquet hall cost per plate in Bangalore?
Listed 5-star hotel banquets run about ₹1,500–5,000 per plate plus taxes; Taj Bangalore lists ₹4,200. Palace Grounds halls list lower starting prices, from a few hundred rupees per plate, but those are often wedding-menu starting points. We get written quotes for your menu.
Can we serve alcohol at a banquet hall for an office party?
At most hotels, yes, under the hotel’s licence and timings. Standalone halls vary — at least one Palace Grounds listing says alcohol is not allowed. We confirm the bar rules in writing before booking.

Is a Palace Grounds hall good for a corporate annual day?
It can be, for large headcounts on a budget — but you bring the staging, AV and power, guests have no rooms on site, and outdoor sound must stop at 10 pm. For under about 300, a hotel ballroom is usually simpler.
