Convention centre BangaloreBig rooms are easy to find. The right one is not.
Every large convention centre and convention hall in and around Bangalore — what each one lists, what the government-run ones publish as rent, and which fits a 1,000-delegate conference, an expo or a 3,000-person annual day.
What is the biggest convention centre in Bangalore?
BIEC on Tumkur Road is the biggest: five exhibition halls totalling 77,200 sq m and a convention centre whose Jacaranda hall seats about 1,400 theatre-style. KTPO in Whitefield has a 5,371 sq m air-conditioned hall, The Leela Bhartiya City has two ballrooms for up to 1,500 each, and Aldovia at Devanahalli lists a 25,000 sq ft convention hall.
Bangalore’s convention venues fall into three kinds: exhibition-scale centres run by public bodies or industry associations (BIEC, KTPO), convention hotels with large pillarless ballrooms (The Leela Bhartiya City, Sheraton Grand Whitefield), and institutional auditoria and halls that suit seated conferences (NIMHANS, IISc, Manpho). Each figure below is linked to the page we read and marked H (official), M (directories agree) or L (single or conflicting listing). We confirm every number for your layout before we quote.
A convention hall is a shell. Everything inside is your problem.
- The rent looked cheap.BIEC and KTPO publish bare-hall rates. Stage, AV, power, air-conditioning hours, catering and décor are on top.
- The air-conditioning switches off.Exhibition halls run AC on set hours. An evening session needs extra hours agreed and paid for in advance.
- Delegates spend two hours in a coach.BIEC is on Tumkur Road and KTPO in Whitefield. Pick the venue for where your people start, not only for size.
- The hall feels empty.A 5,000 sq m hall for 800 people looks like a warehouse. We size the space with drape, staging and layout, or choose a smaller room.

What we check in a hall that comes empty
- Hall dimensions, clear height and rigging points for truss and LED
- Power supply, generator position and AC hours on the rate card
- Build and dismantle days, and the cost of each
- Catering: in-house, approved caterers or outside, and kitchen space
- Breakout rooms, registration space and a green room near the stage
- Parking, coach bays and the walk from the gate to the hall
- Fire, crowd and exit rules for your headcount
- Whether the event is ticketed — some venues price that differently
