Foundation day · Company anniversaryThe night the company tells its own story.
A foundation day or company anniversary is about where you started and who got you here. We produce anniversary events in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala that make founders, first employees and the newest joiner feel part of the same story.
How do companies celebrate foundation day?
Companies celebrate foundation day with an event that looks back and forward: an archive walk or exhibition, a film of the company’s story told by its people, a founder or CEO address, recognition for long-serving and founding employees, a reveal such as a new identity or commitment, and a celebration dinner. Milestone years get bigger formats.
An anniversary has one job: make people proud.
- It becomes a sales deck.Twenty slides of revenue and logos. People want stories — the first office, the near-miss, the customer who believed early.
- The founders are forgotten. An early employee or a co-founder who left is not invited, and it is noticed. We build the guest list with your HR and founders together.
- The archive does not exist.Nobody has photos from year one. We start collecting from employees and alumni eight weeks out.
- Other offices watch a blurry stream.Teams outside Bangalore get a laptop camera at the back. We produce the stream as a show, not an afterthought.

From the shoebox of old photos to the reveal on stage
- Archive hunt: photos, products, documents and stories from employees and alumni
- A story film with interviews of founders, early employees and customers
- Exhibition or archive-walk design for the venue foyer
- Founder and CEO speech support, rehearsals and a confidence monitor
- Long-service recognition with families, plaques and walk-up music
- Reveal moment: identity, commitment or time capsule, staged and rehearsed
- Multi-office live stream and a version for those who could not attend
Company anniversary celebration ideas for 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50 years
The scale of the celebration should match the size of the milestone. A tenth anniversary deserves an evening; a fiftieth deserves a year.
| Milestone | Scale that fits | Ideas that land |
|---|---|---|
| 1st anniversary | The whole team, an evening at a restaurant or the office | First-day photos vs today, a founder letter, the first customer invited |
| 5 years | An evening party plus a morning town hall | A “five years in five minutes” film, the five-year-club recognition, an alumni invite |
| 10 years | A full evening event; often combined with the annual day | A coffee-table book, archive wall, ten-year awards, a decade-themed party |
| 25 years (silver jubilee) | A flagship event with customers, partners and families | A brand film, a new identity or logo reveal, a CSR commitment of 25 projects |
| 50 years (golden jubilee) and beyond | A programme across the year, not one night | Exhibition of the company’s history, a book, a foundation or scholarship, events in every office |
Decide early whether foundation day is for employees, for customers or for both. The guest list decides the venue, the tone and the budget.
Foundation day celebration ideas employees remember
Archive walk
Old ID cards, the first business card, product prototypes, the first office lease — in the foyer, with captions written by employees.
Then-and-now portraits
Long-serving employees photographed holding a picture of themselves from their first year.
Customer number one
The first customer on stage or on film, explaining why they took the chance.
Alumni homecoming
Former employees invited back. Many companies’ best ambassadors are people who left on good terms.
Time capsule
Letters from teams to the company ten years from now, sealed on stage.
Foundation day pledge
One commitment for the next decade — sustainability, hiring, community — announced and owned.
Anniversary identity
A special logo lock-up for the year, used on the stage, merchandise and email signatures.
Acts of service
One CSR project per year of the company’s life, done by teams across the month.
Coffee-table book
The company’s story in photos and voices; a copy for every employee and partner.
A foundation day agenda, cue by cue
For an evening event with 300–800 guests in a Bangalore ballroom. Keep the stage programme under 90 minutes.
| Time | Segment | Length | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 18:30 | Arrival through an archive walk: photos, first products, old ID cards | 45 min | Guests find themselves on the wall — the best icebreaker there is |
| 19:15 | Opening film: the company’s story in its people’s voices | 6 min | Interviews recorded in advance; played from main and backup machines |
| 19:21 | Founder or CEO: where we came from, where we are going | 12 min | One story from the early days, one promise for the next decade |
| 19:33 | Long-service and founding-team recognition | 20 min | Names locked a day ahead; families invited on stage |
| 19:53 | The reveal: new identity, a commitment, a time capsule sealed | 8 min | The moment people photograph — rehearse it twice |
| 20:01 | Toast, cake and dinner; a band through the evening | to close | Indoors, or amplified sound outdoors ends by 22:00 |
A foundation day speech outline for the founder or CEO
- Open with a scene, not a number: the first office, the first hire, the night it nearly failed.
- Thank people by name — the founding team, the first customers, families who put up with it.
- Say what has not changed: the one or two values the company still runs on.
- Say what will: the next decade’s ambition in one sentence.
- Hand over: invite the newest employee or the longest-serving one to cut the cake or seal the capsule.
- Keep it to ten to twelve minutes. Rehearse it once on the stage with the confidence monitor.
Anniversary event venues in Bangalore, and including other offices
- Up to 300 guests: a 5-star ballroom in the city centre, or a rooftop for a younger company’s first or fifth anniversary.
- 300–1,500: large hotel convention spaces such as The Leela Bhartiya City, with ballrooms listed up to 1,500 (The Leela), or Taj Bangalore near the airport for fly-in guests (Taj).
- 1,500+ or an exhibition: BIEC on Tumkur Road lists five halls and a convention centre (BIEC) — space for a history exhibition as well as the show.
- Goa or Kerala: a milestone offsite for the leadership or founding team, with the main celebration at home.
For teams in other offices, a Microsoft Teams event can take up to 10,000 view-only attendees with Q&A on Teams Enterprise, and an add-on raises that to 100,000 (Microsoft Learn). Licences and limits change; we check your tenant before the day. See hybrid and live-streamed events.
